The YAT Youth Leadership Fund has small grants (up to £400) available for youth leadership development projects. Its aim is to give young people the opportunity to experience and gain skills of leadership that they wouldn’t otherwise have been able to attain.
‘Youth Leadership’ has become a broad and elaborate term encompassing more than the idea of peers leading peers, but growing to become a theory of development where young people gain countless skills and knowledge which are needed in all aspects of life.
With this in mind, the criteria for the fund have been deliberately left very open to allow for unique and imaginative project proposals.
The only conditions we have are:
- Young people are the reason for the project
- The project is respectful and understanding of the Salesian Charism
- YAT receives a report and pictures of the completed project

The deadline for applications is the 3rd November, all applications will be considered after this, and if you are successful you should expect a response no later than two weeks after the application deadline.
